I purchased noise-canceling headphones and when they arrived at my house the box was damaged and the headphones were smashed. I called customer service and no one was able to help me. I was offered a refund after they they filed an investigation with UPS. When I asked if they could over-night a new pair of headphones and honor the sale price I paid for, they said no and that I could wait for the next sale to make my purchase again. What an awful experience. This would never happen with a company with reliable customer service like Amazon.

Bose soundport bluetooth | Bose Corporation

I personally love Bose products, however am disappointed with my last purchase. This makes my 2nd bluetooth. First one lasted years. I bought the Bose soundport bluetooh and can hear perfect on it, but no one can hear me any longer. Havent even had it one year yet. These are too costly just to run out and replace. Very disappointing!

I agree with your assessment regarding the quality of Bose headphones lately. The best thing to do is search around and read customer reviews of the various brands in order to find something that will work for you, although paying "an arm and a leg" for headphones is really a waste of money. Bose is still working off their once-great product name but for those of us scammed by inferior Bose products lately they are definitely off our list of brands to purchase.
